The Western Star harkens back to the inspiration for the Pere Marquette design and that is the J. Henry Rushton Rob Roy. With its elongated fore and rear decks it is much more like its predecessor. Inset starbursts of California Redwood on the fore-deck and in the hull are very reminiscent of western Native American symbols. Trimmed with quarter sawn Red Oak and Walnut she is a real eye catcher. An optional paddle bracket can be found on the starboard side just above her caned seat.
